Where to Find the Best Brunch in Dubai, by Vibe
There is no single best brunch in Dubai, only the right one for your mood. Party brunches run loud with DJs and free-flowing drinks, family brunches come with kids' zones and daytime hours, and chic ones are all long lunches and good conversation. Pick the vibe first, then the venue.
Everyone asks me where the best brunch in Dubai is, and my honest answer is that it depends entirely on the day you want to have. Brunch here is not really about eggs. It is our weekend ritual, a long multi-hour sitting, usually Friday or Saturday afternoon, where you settle in with friends over unlimited food and drinks. The scene splits into a few clear moods, so pick the vibe first and the venue almost chooses itself.
One quick note before you book. Most weekend brunches have quietly shifted onto Saturday now that our weekend runs Friday to Sunday, though plenty of venues still do both days. Saturday tends to be calmer and easier to book last minute, which I love. And any brunch serving alcohol will be inside a licensed hotel, so if you want a purely non-alcoholic day, look for the soft or family packages, which are cheaper anyway.
The party brunch, if you want a proper day out
This is the Dubai brunch that goes viral. Think a DJ or a live saxophonist, themed rooms, unlimited free-flowing drinks, and an energy that starts at noon and rolls straight into an after-party. It is loud, it is glamorous, and it is not where you go for a quiet catch up.
Party brunches live in DIFC, on the Marina, and out on the Palm. Beach clubs on Palm Jumeirah do a particularly good version where you get pool and beach access folded into the price. Expect house-drinks packages to sit somewhere around AED 350 to AED 500 at the well-known spots, climbing higher for sparkling or champagne tiers. Go dressed up. Smart and stylish, nothing that stops you dancing, and never flip-flops unless it is specifically a beach brunch.
The family brunch, kids happily occupied
Family brunches have genuinely levelled up. The good ones now run supervised kids' zones, magicians, bouncy castles, mini-chef stations and treasure hunts, so you actually get to sit and eat a hot meal while the little ones are entertained a few metres away. Reform Social & Grill out in The Lakes is a lovely relaxed one with a garden and a play area, and it is the kind of easy afternoon I keep recommending to friends with toddlers.
My rule of thumb: if a brunch wraps up before the evening and offers mocktail packages, it is set up for children. Look for daytime slots, roughly noon to 4pm, and check whether kids under a certain age eat free. A lot of hotel brunches charge a reduced rate for children aged six to twelve, often around AED 250 to AED 300 at the higher-end resorts, and nothing for the very young.
The chic, low-key brunch, all long lunch and good talk
This is my personal favourite. No DJ, no queue for the dessert station, just a beautiful room, brilliant food and a table you never want to leave. The Italian coastal brunches are having a real moment, with antipasti, fresh pasta made to order, seafood and a proper dessert room, and they feel elevated without being stiff.
DIFC is the heart of this crowd. The best-value brunch, when you still want the ritual
You absolutely do not need to spend a fortune. Dubai has a whole tier of genuinely good brunches under AED 200, and some casual ones dip under AED 150 with soft drinks included. Neighbourhood hotel restaurants in areas like Al Barsha and JBR do generous buffets with live cooking counters, live music and kids' activities, sometimes with soft packages as low as AED 75 and house packages around AED 175.
One thing I always check before booking a value brunch: whether the advertised price includes taxes and service charge. A tempting AED 199 can quietly become closer to AED 250 on the bill, so ask when you reserve. How I actually decide
I start with the guest list. Big group who want a proper occasion, I book a party brunch and warn everyone about the dress code. Friends with children, a daytime family brunch with a play area. A close friend I have not seen in ages, the chic long-lunch table every time. On a normal weekend, I go value and put the difference toward the next one. Dubai gives you all four within a short drive, which is honestly the whole joy of it.
