Coffee roasters in Dubai: where to buy fresh beans
Most of Dubai's specialty roasters are in Al Quoz, and all of them sell whole beans online. A bag runs roughly AED 45 to AED 85, but sizes vary from 200g to 250g, so compare the price per gram.

Dubai's specialty coffee roasters are mostly in Al Quoz. RAW Coffee Company, Nightjar, The Espresso Lab and Julith all roast there, and Specialty Batch roasts at Port Rashid. Every one of them sells whole beans online with UAE delivery. A bag costs roughly AED 45 to AED 85 on their own shops, checked in October 2026, but bag sizes run from 200g to 250g, so compare the price per gram, not per bag.
Where are the coffee roasters in Dubai?
Al Quoz is the answer most of the time. It is the warehouse district behind Sheikh Zayed Road, and roasting needs warehouse space. Several roasters run a cafe or brew bar next to the roaster, so you can taste before you buy a bag.
- RAW Coffee Company, Al Quoz 1. Roastery and head office on Al Manara Road, with a cafe open daily from 7.30am to 6pm. Founded in 2007.
- Nightjar Coffee Roasters, Alserkal Avenue, Al Quoz. The roastery is inside Alserkal Avenue, and Nightjar runs three eateries across the city.
- The Espresso Lab, Al Quoz Logistics Park. Roastery in the Mag warehouse units, with cafes at Dubai Design District and Nad Al Sheba.
- Julith Coffee and Roastery, Al Quoz Industrial 1. Roasts in house at 1 Kunooz, 6th Street. Pickup at the roastery is by appointment.
- Specialty Batch, Port Rashid. Roasts every week at Shed 3A on Marina Cubes Street. It sells beans online rather than through a cafe.
Which Dubai roasters deliver beans, and what does a bag cost?
All of the roasters below sell whole beans on their own websites. Prices are from each shop in October 2026 and change often, so treat them as a guide.
| Roaster | Roasts in | Example bag | Delivery |
|---|---|---|---|
| RAW Coffee Company | Al Quoz 1, Dubai | Working Coffee Blend, 250g, AED 60 | Free in Dubai over AED 300; same day on weekdays if ordered before 11.30am |
| Nightjar | Alserkal Avenue, Dubai | Gonzo seasonal blend, 225g, AED 49 | Across the UAE, 7 days a week; free over AED 150 or 1kg |
| The Espresso Lab | Al Quoz, Dubai | Ethiopia Bombe Washed, 200g, AED 80 | UAE in 3 to 5 business days; free over AED 350, otherwise AED 25 |
| Julith | Al Quoz 1, Dubai | Brazil Bronze Cloud, 250g, AED 50 | Across the UAE |
| Specialty Batch | Port Rashid, Dubai | Dulce Ticos, 200g, AED 65 | Nationwide; free over AED 400 |
| Boon Coffee | Dubai company, Ethiopian beans | Premium, 250g, AED 40 before VAT | Dubai addresses only |
| Archers Coffee | Sharjah | Ethiopia Elto Sama Washed, 250g, AED 55 | Free in the UAE over AED 150, otherwise AED 21 |
| Cartel Coffee Roasters | Abu Dhabi | Kenya Kirimara AA, 250g, AED 85 | Sells online in AED; cafe in Mirdif 35 Mall |
The bag sizes are the trap. A 200g bag at AED 80 works out at AED 40 per 100g. A 250g bag at AED 60 is AED 24 per 100g. Divide the price by the weight before you decide one roaster is cheaper than another.
What makes each roaster different?
- RAW Coffee Company describes all of its coffee as direct and ethically traded, roasts at its Al Quoz warehouse and runs SCA training courses. It also offers a coffee subscription, the easiest way to never run out.
- Nightjar calls itself an award-winning roaster and roasts and brews on site at Alserkal Avenue. Its bags come in 225g and 1kg, ground to order for espresso, French press or pour-over if you do not own a grinder.
- The Espresso Lab was started by Emirati founder Ibrahim Al Mallouhi, and it lists four UAE National Barista Championship wins: 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2025.
- Julith opened its Al Quoz roastery in August 2025. Its head roaster, Serkan Sağsöz, is a Turkish Barista Champion, and it runs omakase-style tasting sessions.
- Specialty Batch was founded in 2011. Its founder, Ryan Godinho, became the UAE's first SCA lead instructor in 2009.
- Boon Coffee sells single-origin Arabica sourced directly from Ethiopia. Its founder, Orit Mohammed, is from Harar. It has cafes at Nakheel Mall, Jumeirah Park Pavilion, Meadows Souk, Mall of the Emirates and JLT.
- Archers Coffee roasts in Sharjah, was founded in 2018 and runs an SCA and CQI certified coffee academy. It sells single origins from 13 countries.
- Cartel Coffee Roasters roasts in Abu Dhabi and was established in 2018. Its one Dubai cafe is in Mirdif 35 Mall.
Which roaster suits which drinker?
- You make espresso or flat whites at home: start with a house blend, such as RAW's Working Coffee Blend or Nightjar's Gonzo. Blends are built to taste the same bag after bag.
- You want to taste origins side by side: buy two single origins from one roaster, for example from The Espresso Lab or Archers, and brew them the same way on the same morning.
- You want to learn: RAW, Archers and Specialty Batch all teach. RAW runs SCA courses, Archers has a certified academy, and Specialty Batch's founder is an SCA lead instructor.
- You want beans at the door every month: RAW sells a subscription. Archers runs a subscription for capsules rather than beans.
- You live outside Dubai: Nightjar, The Espresso Lab, Julith, Specialty Batch and Archers deliver across the UAE. Boon ships to Dubai addresses only.
How to buy beans that taste good at home
- Check the roast date on the bag. Buying from a local roaster is the easiest way to get beans roasted days ago rather than months ago.
- Buy whole beans if you own a grinder. If you do not, pick the grind for your brewer: espresso, French press or pour-over. Nightjar, for example, grinds to each of these.
- Buy small and often. A 200g to 250g bag suits most homes. A 1kg bag is good value only if you get through it quickly.
- Store the bag sealed, in a cupboard, away from the stove and the window. Heat is the enemy, and a Dubai kitchen in August has plenty of it.
- Order over the free-delivery line. Every roaster above sets one, from AED 150 to AED 400. Two bags at once often costs less than one bag plus delivery.
Where to drink it instead
If you would rather have someone else make the coffee, the cafes are covered in the best specialty coffee shops in Dubai, including the roasters' own cafes and the places to work from. Prices, opening hours and delivery terms in this guide were checked on each roaster's own website in October 2026 and change often, so confirm before you drive out.
