What are the best gyms in Dubai?
There is a gym for every budget in Dubai, from GymNation at around 99 dirhams a month to premium clubs like Fitness First at 200 to 400. Pick by location, classes and budget, and lean on air-conditioned training through the summer.

Staying fit in Dubai is easy once you find the right gym, and there is genuinely something for every budget and goal here, from 99 dirham a month chains to boutique studios that feel like a night out. Here is how the options break down and how to pick the one you will actually stick with.
What are the best budget and mid-range gyms?
- GymNation is the budget champion, with memberships from around 99 dirhams a month, 24 hour access, hundreds of free group classes and branches across Al Quoz, Downtown, Motor City, Mirdif and Bur Dubai.
- Warehouse Gym has an industrial, serious-training feel with strong free weights and CrossFit, in the roughly 400 to 1,200 dirham a month range depending on branch and plan.
- Fitness First is the all-rounder, with many clubs, full class timetables and extras like pools and saunas, also in the mid to premium range.
What about boutique studios?
If you love structure, energy and a community, boutique studios are worth the premium:
- Barry's, the famous treadmill-and-weights bootcamp, with studios in Marina and DIFC. Classes run roughly 130 to 160 dirhams, and first-timers can often try three for around 285.
- 1Rebel, a high-energy, nightclub-style spin and HIIT studio, with an intro of three classes for about 150.
- CRANK, a much-loved homegrown spin and shape studio, with three classes for around 230 for newcomers.
Boutique sessions cost several times more than gym-floor time, but the accountability and atmosphere keep many people far more consistent.
Are there women-only gyms?
Yes. FitnGlam is a popular women-only chain with branches including Al Quoz, Mirdif and Dubai Hills Mall, and many mixed gyms also have ladies-only hours or sections. If a private space matters to you, Dubai is well served.
How much does a gym membership cost in Dubai?
Budget chains start near 99 dirhams a month with classes included and no joining fee. Mid-range and premium clubs typically run 400 to 1,200 dirhams a month, with the higher end buying spa facilities and a fuller timetable. Boutique studios are usually paid per class or in class packs, which works out higher per session but with no long commitment.
How do you choose the right one?
Three things matter most: location, format and budget. Pick somewhere on your daily route, because a gym you pass is a gym you use. Decide whether you want a big floor and freedom, or the push of a class. And take the free trial or intro pack almost everyone offers before you commit, so you can feel the vibe first.
What about training in summer?
From June to September, outdoor running is rough, so an air-conditioned gym or studio becomes essential. Many people switch to indoor classes, swimming and indoor padel through the hottest months.
